Free Cute Angry Cat Celestial Coloring Page for BPD and Functioning Depression Relief
Free Cute Angry Cat Celestial Coloring Page (The "Functioning Depression & Mental Spirals" Edition)
How do you keep your anxiety and depression in check? My anxiety seems to take over along with my BPD it's soooo stressful to just live day to day and it's because of my own thoughts.... Have you ever stopped and thought about all the crap that you are anxious or mad about being just made up on your own head? So pretty much no one and nothing actually can make me mad , I'm technically making myself that way from my own thoughts...... Wow! My rants that come out of my head spiral sometimes....
I'm grateful to be right here typing this though... Because honestly I need it. I'm in a depression right now it doesn't look like other peoples depressions because I have functioning depression. I don't do the type of depression most people see depression as. I don't look depressed. I don't sound depressed most of the time anyways unless you read between the lines. My depression comes out in my mood vs my actions.
I do all the normal things with less energy and force and tell myself that I'm a failure. I have no desire to do any of the things, yet I do them anyways. I make up so many stories in my head about how people feel about me. I tell myself that I can't depend on anyone else but myself, I make up all these stories about how nobody cares about me as much as I care about them and in return it makes me not trust anyone.... And the first thing that I want to say to you about it is ..... It's crazy.... Why because I feel crazy most the time. I really wish I could be that chilled out person who seems to be so calm and so understanding and patient all the time. Yet then I'll continue down that rabbit hole thinking.... Yet nobody is perfect so they just don't show it on the outside and one day they are going to blow up and scream at everyone......
I know that the spiral will stop and then when it does I will be exhausted for daya or even weeks. It usually has a pattern, I'll start out like this with all the thoughts and then the exhaustion sets in, there's no time limit on either but they both always happen. When I get to the exhaustion stage I'm quite and can barely come up with a reply to the simplest question yet in the spiral I have a 2 hour answer to that simple question..... My thoughts are all over the place and I just needed this today and I hope your in a better place in your mind today.
Finding a Little Light in the Dark
If you read through that and felt it deep in your soul, please know you are not alone. When you are the person who keeps the house running, homeschools the kids, and does all the daily chores even when your soul feels like lead, it is completely exhausting. You are fighting your own mind every single second of the day, and then you have to face the physical fallout of that mental exhaustion.
When my mind is running that two-hour answer marathon, I have to find a way to physically anchor myself so the spiral doesn't pull me all the way under. I need something that lets me channel that intense, spiky energy into something safe.
That is exactly why I designed this page. Meet our little celestial mascot: a cute, visibly annoyed little cat sitting under a beautiful crescent moon. Hanging from the tip of the moon is a glowing lantern, shedding a little bit of light into a night sky packed with twinkling stars. Honestly, this cat is my current mood animal. It’s small, it’s cute, but it has had absolutely enough of the mental noise today! It’s sitting under the stars, taking a timeout, and letting the light of that little lantern guide it back to calm.
Coloring is a wonderful tool for functioning depression because it doesn't require a massive burst of creative energy. You don't have to think, you don't have to talk, and you don't have to explain your thoughts to anyone. You can just sit in your safe, clean sanctuary, pour a cold drink, and focus entirely on filling in these beautiful, high-contrast lines. It’s a zero-stakes way to hit the pause button on the stories your brain is making up.
This celestial design features a bold, clean outline of a cute grumpy cat nestled beneath a crescent moon with a hanging lantern and a sky full of stars. It's designed to give your overactive mind a gentle place to rest and reset.

Cozy Tips to Quiet the Mind & Color
The Low-Energy Bed Hack (Digital Style): When the mental exhaustion hits and you feel physically heavy, do not force yourself to sit at a hard table! Download the PDF directly to your phone, import it into the free Sketchbook app, and color with a fine, hard-tip stylus while buried under your warmest blankets in bed. It’s the absolute ultimate way to rest your back and your brain at the same time.
Vibrant High-Contrast Moods: If you love physical paper, grab your colored pencils or shimmery, glittery gel pens. Try coloring the grumpy little cat in sleek blacks or grays, and contrast it with a stunning, deep purple for the night sky (the absolute best color for celestial vibes!). Use metallic golds and bright yellows for the stars and the lantern light to make the page truly glow.
Give Yourself Grace: If you can only color three stars before the exhaustion takes over, that is completely okay. There is no timeline here. Let the page sit on your nightstand and take it one tiny shape at a time.
If you are in a spiral or the exhaustion phase today, leave a comment below—even if it's just a simple emoji to say 'I'm here.' Are you team glittery gel pens or team digital phone coloring when your energy is low?
